Grand Finals

In Week 8 of this term, we had nine of our 20 ACC teams compete in Grand Finals, coming away with three wins and with some extremely close losses in the remaining six.  Whilst we always love winning premierships, having that many teams reach the grand final was a huge effort; one which the students should be extremely proud.

Year 9 Hockey PREMIERS (coached by Robyn Kensley and Josh Maillard)

Year 10B Basketball PREMIERS (coached by Amy Ross)

Senior Hockey PREMIERS (coached by Con D’Cruz and Josh Maillard)

Our Runners-Up

Year 7 Table Tennis (coached by Nikita Kulkarni)

Undefeated all season having beaten the team they lost to in the Grand Final earlier in the season. Unfortunately Mazenod too strong on the day.

Year 7B Basketball (coached by Kaylan Kitto and Erin Napier)

Battled hard against a much taller/bigger side. Great effort by this team to make the Grand Final.

Year 7 Hockey (coached by David Cracknell and Sean Keenaghan)

Up 2-0 with about 15 minutes to go, Parade (one player in particular) got some momentum and snatched victory late.

Year 10A Basketball (coached by Amy Ross)

Lost by ONE POINT in one of the most exciting ACC Grand Finals witnessed. Unbelievable atmosphere where both the 10 As and Bs played against Whitefriars.

Year 10 Hockey (coached by Ben McManus and Tom Richards)

We had more possession, more time in forward half, more short corners and more shots on goal. Unfortunately couldn’t convert whereas DLS made the most of their opportunities.

Senior Table Tennis (coached by Theresa Lochery)

Undefeated all season and lost by the narrowest of margins in Table Tennis. If one set to 11 went the other way, St Bede’s would have taken the victory.
