The College Junior Concert Band performed at the Victorian Schools Music Festival which was held at the Hawthorn Arts Centre.  Under the direction of Mr Nick Roney our Woodwind specialist and Mr David Hedges our Brass specialist, the Junior Concert Band performed three pieces. 

Our students performed admirably in front of other schools and the judges who noted many wonderful things about their performance. The Junior Concert Band received a Silver Shield and we are very proud of their achievement

Every week since the start of Term 1 we have had early morning rehearsals with all our College ensembles, always trying to make it fun rehearsing with many colorful hats, glasses and capes!

Spring Music Concert - Mentone Campus

"The Instrumental Music Program presented their first ever Spring Concert on Thursday 8 September, featuring some of the College’s most popular ensembles.

Wind Symphony, Saxophone Ensemble, Senior Vocal Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble put together a jam-packed 75-minute showcase of (mostly) disco and 1970s tunes.

The evening was hosted by many of our wonderful Voice students who also performed featured items throughout the night. There were even a few audience singalongs!

Once again, the AV Team, Mr Hubeek and Mr Dun, put together some excellent lighting to bring the whole space to life.

Thank you to all of the Music staff, with special thanks to Mr Saluni, Mrs Allan, and our conductors Mrs Hambly, Mr Hambly, Mr Pappas and Mr Downing for making the night such a success."
