Science and Technology

Students in F/1 are learning about digital systems and their purposes. This week, we learnt that a digital system can follow instructions or commands (eg. robots). We got out the Spheros to put our new understanding into practise. We used an app on the iPads to give commands to our Spheros. It was fun to watch them move around the classroom, spin and change colour when we commanded them to do so. 

In 3-6 Science, we are learning about how the Earth’s surface can change over time as a result of natural processes and human activity. On Monday, we learnt about erosion. We learnt about erosion caused by rivers, waves, glaciers and wind. 

We then got out the Spheros for some fun. Students enjoyed directing the Spheros around the classroom.
