Staff v Students Basketball

On Thursday 4/8, the year 10 basketball team challenged some teachers to a game of basketball. The game went for a gruelling 30 minutes with a 2 minute break at half time. The students put up a great fight, but at the end, the teachers prevailed, winning by 12 points.

Homestead’s inaugural basketball league has now officially concluded! 

Congratulations to Harcourt on winning the grand final 17-15 over Gillard. It was quite the comeback from Gillard, who were down 7 points at half time, just falling short of an epic win.

Firstly, we’d like to thank all the teachers for their support during the tournament, and all student helpers, who scored and refereed the games. We’d also like to congratulate and thank all participants for making the league possible and making it an amazing event. And to our students who came in to support their houses, we’d like to thank you for making the tournament a resounding success and a good time.

We hope that the Homestead Basketball League is something that continues, and becomes a bigger and better tournament every year.

Interschool Sport

Senior Boys Table Tennis team, and our Intermediate Boys Badminton team, to participate in the Western Metro Region Finals. Both teams performed extremely well on the day and both teams came third in their respective finals. We are extremely proud of the efforts the boys put in, and the way they represented the school, and themselves on the day.
