In and around Trades

It has been a busy and productive start to Term 3 in the Trades section. We would like to offer a special welcome to Mr Shane McKenna and Mr Keith Thompson, who have joined the team to fill in while Mr Truss is taking some well-earned long service leave and Mr Cantwell fills in as Deputy.

Building and Construction

Semester 2 has seen new groups of Year 10 and Year 11’s begin Building and Construction courses. This is probably a timely reminder to request that Year 11’s from Semester 1 discuss with their parents on how they wish to pick up any projects such as Dog Kennels still in storage at the school. We have limited space for such projects and we will soon need to dispose of any that remain unclaimed. If you would like to complete any finishing touches on such projects but ran out of time due to COVID illness in Semester 1, please see Mr Depiazzi as soon as possible and some extra access to the workshops may be able to be arranged.

Woodwork

Woodwork has also hit the ground running with lots of new faces for Semester 2. As with Building and Construction, can any Semester 1 students please discuss with their parents in regards to unclaimed projects. We have quite a few Hall Tables and Bar Stools yet to be picked up.
