Youth Art Expo – now open for submissions 

Calling For Artists 

Kingston Youth Services in partnership with Kingston Arts proudly presents the 2022 Youth Art Expo with a theme of HOPE.

The expo is FREE to enter for any young person 12-25 years with a connection to the City of Kingston (live, work, study), and all entrants have the chance to win prizes! Entrants are encouraged to create a work of art that represents HOPE and demonstrate what you believe ‘hope’ is through your work of art.

Paintings, drawings, sculptures and digital works all accepted.

Money Matters

The Money Matters Workshop will increase practical financial literacy skills for young people. Topics covered in this workshop include: Managing everyday money, Saving and borrowing, Investing in Shares, Superannuation and Moving out of home. These workshops help solve 'real world' money queries that young people face now with the aim of increasing knowledge and wealth. 

All participants attending will go into the draw to win 1 of 5 $100 Visa Debit cards. Participants who attend all 5 workshops go into the draw to win an APPLE IPAD PRO 128GB.

 

YA Chat (Parkdale Library) 

Kingston Youth Services in partnership with Parkdale Library will be running a social chat for young adults (13-21yrs) commencing from July - YA Chat.

These sessions will provide an environment for like-minded young adults to come together monthly and chat about pop culture, music, TC and books.No bookings required. For more information contact Parkdale Library on 1300 135 668.

 

Youth Work Support and Counselling 

Kingston Youth Services offers individual online or phone support services for young people aged 12-25 who have a connection to the City of Kingston. Callout for a young person to be our next Platform 81 Youth Producer

Possibly suitable for a senior student

Kingston Youth Services’ Podcast Producer collaborates with our Youth Work Team to produce a series of podcast episodes that elevates the issues young people care about. 

This is a fixed paid position. 

To apply, send young people will need to submit a resume and cover letter to youth.services@kingston.vic.gov.au

To be eligible they must be:

  • 18-25 years with a connection to the City of Kingston (live, work, study)
  • Available one weekday based at our Platform 81 location (Mordialloc)
  • Attend training workshops
