Tell us a little about yourself

My name is Morgan Howard and I have been teaching at Cecil Hills High School for 6 years .

I have been teaching for 6 years and I am a English teacher.

Other roles at school

Besides teaching English I am also Head Teacher Literacy.  I am responsible for helping to improve the literacy level of the students within the school.  The role is amazing as I get to work all across the school.

Previous schools you worked at?

I was fortunate enough to spend my final practicum here as a teacher.  I liked the school so much I soon started teaching as a casual teacher at Cecil Hills High School.

Where did you attend high school?

I attended Newington College, Stanmore.

What advise would you give to your students?

  • Be the best version of yourself
  • Build up others whenever you have the chance
  • Always have a book you're reading

What do you like to do when you aren't working?

I like spending time with my family which keeps me busy as I have two little boys aged 3 and aged 1.

Who is your favourite sports team?

I follow the EPL quite closely and support Manchester city.

What's a fun fact about you many people may not know?

Most people would not know that I actually studied at university to become a scientist.

Your favourite movie?

Mine is a classic, Raiders of the Lost Ark.

If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?

A KFC taste tester.

If Hollywood made a movie about you, who would you like to see cast as you?

I see myself as Ryan Reynolds, but they would probably cast Danny Devito.

How would you define success?

Success is something that doesn't happen overnight.  It is a process that involves hard work, perseverance, mistakes and sometimes a sprinkle of luck.
