JSC DENIM FUN DAY

A student's perspective

On Wednesday the 22nd June we had the JSC Denim Fun Day. We were treated to a day of entertainment with stalls offering everything we could want – temporary tattoos, coloured hair spray, magic shows, inflatables, face painting…and so much more. Even our food for the day was delightful with popcorn, fairy floss, snow cones and of course, our special luncheon.

Connor: Fun Day was so much fun. There were so many things to do. My favourite stall was the show bags because there was a variety of options and they had great stuff in them.

Aishani: It was fun. It was a day where we got to spend time with our friends, just simply enjoying ourselves while we helped the school fundraise. There were so many stalls to explore. Like Connor, I really liked the show bags.

Marcus: There were so many show bags to choose from, I actually had a bit of trouble deciding which I wanted to buy. The activities such as badge making and the farm animals were pretty cool.

Alannah: Fun day was really enjoyable. My favourite event was the inflatable obstacle course because you can race your friends (I WON!).

Alessia: I thought it was very enjoyable because we got to do so many things like eat fairy floss, I mean, when else can you eat fairy floss during class time? And then there was also the chance to make bracelets. In fact the bracelets were my favourite because you could make all kinds of different colours with them and they came out really pretty.

Taj: It was a fun day, I really enjoyed it. The best part for me was the inflatable obstacle course because it was fun to swerve around all these inflatable objects. I also enjoyed the show bags.

Ally: While fun day was pretty cool all round, I’m kind of disappointed because I couldn’t take home a bunny rabbit from the farm yard stall. I really, really wanted that bunny!

Dexter: It was so much fun, there was a lot to do. There were busy crowds and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. It seems like the fun lasted into the day after. As year 6’s it will be a lasting memory that we will take with us, long into the future.

Maria: It was an incredibly fun day and an amazing experience. I hope everyone enjoyed as much as I did.

Lucas: I really enjoyed it. I feel like it wasn’t just you do one thing and then it was boring to do it again. I went back and did some things multiple times and they were just as great as before.

Charlie: It was good. There was fantastic food, I got to have a great time with my friends. I love my new sunnies from my show bag.

Blake: After COVID stopped us from having Family Fun Night, has been a great alternative. The lines were huge at some stalls, which was a bit annoying, but shows how popular and fun those stalls were. The band was a lovely touch, I had a good groove. Thanks for the fun!

Suzie: It was fun, I had a great time with my friends. There were lots of activities, so many in fact that it was hard to pick where to start and where to go next. I like the new things that we had this year, like the obstacle course.

Aiden: It was really fun, I think we raised a lot of money. The popcorn was surprisingly really good. I look forward to hearing from my younger sibling about future fun days.
