Look at our new gardens

Hello,

It’s your environmental captain back and I am here to explain some new things around our school.

I am happy to say that we have finally got our school some new gardens. These were planted by some foundation, grade 1, grade 5 students and myself. We now have 3 new gardens. We have the bee garden, which is an native garden located outside the Art room doors near the big-kids playground. The next garden is the butterfly garden. This is a native garden located in the preps courtyard. And the last garden is the Ladybug garden. This garden is a vegetable and herb garden. This is adjacent to the canteen and the main building.

We ask that nobody touches or fiddles the gardens as they were only just planted and very prone to dying.

That’s all for this week but hopefully in the next newsletter, I can introduce you to some new friends to our school.

Thank you,

Alex Fernandes

ps - look what we saved from landfill!

We just dropped off a few bags of disposable masks that our school community has placed into our recycling points around the school:

Well done and thank you!
