Study Hall (Homework Club)
Students - how would you like to have the opportunity to discuss your learning or gain support for completing your work in your subjects?
All students are invited to attend the College Library on Thursdays, 3.30pm - 5.00pm to get learning support and undertake independent or small study group work.
The intention is for students to have access to support from the range of teachers working in Study Hall.
As well, the Study Hall time in the Library is a place when you could make a time in advance to meet with your teacher for tuition in a particular subject.
As this is a new initiative for the College it is hoped that all students who would appreciate a space to undertake study or an opportunity to receive support from teachers or peers will attend - you will be made most welcome.

Understanding Parent Payment Policy
Curriculum Contributions
Voluntary financial contributions for curriculum items and activities which the school deems necessary for students to learn the Curriculum.
Other Contributions
Voluntary financial contributions for non-curriculum items and activities that relate to the school's functions and objectives.
Extra-Curricular Items and Activities
Items and activities that enhance or broaden the schooling experience of students and are above and beyond what the school provides for free to deliver the Curriculum. These are provided on a user-pays basis.
Lost Property
A reminder to please ensure student's items are labelled with their name so that lost property items can be easily returned to students.
The General Office lost property cupboard is filled with items that do not have names on them and unfortunately we do not have the space to keep them. Unclaimed and unnamed school items get donated to welfare and other non school items get donated to a charity bin after 2 weeks.
Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) applications
The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund helps eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.
If you have a valid means-tested concession card, such as a Veterans Affairs Gold Card, Centrelink Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card, or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible. There is also a special consideration category for asylum seeker and refugee families.
Payment amounts this year are $225 for eligible secondary school students. Payments are made direct to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions and sporting activities for the benefit of your child.
It is important that funding made available in 2022 supports students to participate in school trips, camps and sporting activities this year rather than being held for future years. This funding can also be used in conjunction with any funding accrued from previous years. Please note these activities will only take place if they meet COVIDSafe requirements.
If you applied for CSEF through our school last year, you do not need to complete an application form this year, unless there has been a change in your family circumstances.
If you would like to apply for the first time, please contact the school office on 9458 2811 and ask for an application form.

Viewbank College Building Fund
The College would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank those families who have already contributed to the Building Fund this year.
How will your donation assist the College?
In the past Building Fund donations have supported various improvements throughout the school such as the installation of heating/cooling and upgrades to learning spaces.
The College hopes to target these donations to further develop our Centre of Innovation and Excellence at Viewbank College where project-based learning opportunities can be developed by experimentation and creativity. The Centre of Innovation and Excellence would be an extension or refurbishment to the J Block to increase the 21st Century learning space where STEM subjects such as robotics, aeromodelling, coding, 3D printing, and app development could be investigated by students in a hands-on environment.
Another exciting opportunity is to develop a VCE study centre, to provide the year 12 students with a purpose-built space to study, gather and collaborate in their final year at the College.
