Fantastic French

Bonjour tout le monde!

Students in Foundation to Grade 2 listened and practised a French song about a robot in a castle. They recorded themselves doing actions to demonstrate accurate pronunciation. Students are working towards creating their own robot poster and labelling its parts with the correct French word

Grade 3 and 4 explored the Integrated Studies topic of Creativity by researching famous French fashion icons like Coco Chanel and Christian Dior. The meaning of the "little black dress", a Chanel invention and the A-line dresses, a Dior invention, were also researched and explained as students posted on Showbie, their cultural research on these internationally acclaimed couturiers.

Grade 5 and 6 focused on Paul Bocuse , an acclaimed chef whose creativity revolutionized French "grande cuisine" by introducing the concept of "nouvelle cuisine".

This creative ideology changed the world of cooking in France and the rest of the world. His cooking school and his Michelin star awarded restaurant in Lyon are world famous and places of interest and tourist attractions.

Très intéressant, n'est-ce pas?
