Music Students Keep their Rhythm during unsteady times

I draw your attention to the article in The Age highlighting the ability of our instrumental music students to ‘keep their rhythm’ during the constantly changing platform for education over the past two years. The unpredictability of our learning environment has been one of the hardest to manage, with regular change causing some of us to languish.  I propose that in regional Victoria, whilst we haven’t had as severe lockdown conditions as our metropolitan cousins, the number of switches from onsite to remote and back to onsite, and back to remote, has demanded great resilience.

So it is commendable and reassuring when students are able to demonstrate through a Virtual Soiree or an online workshop, or just the regular attendance at their remote music lessons, that despite all the challenges, music has helped music students to keep their rhythm.
