Principal's Message

Mrs Josie Crisara
As we are beginning to transition back to onsite learning, we welcome back students, staff and parents. October is Mental Health month and we have heard a lot about looking after our wellbeing. The Head of Wellbeing, Miss Carla Giardina, is scheduling some parent sessions later in the month and I encourage you to attend. The calendar below includes things that you could be doing to support your family.

This week we welcomed back Year 12 students for their final school days. A picnic lunch was held and the ice cream and coffee van proved very popular. The extended lunch allowed for the students to reconnect in a COVID safe manner after an extended period of Home Learning. We were very fortunate with the weather and it was a great opportunity to have a chat. We wish them well as the VCE students prepare for their final exams and the VCAL students complete final assessments.
We welcome to the staff this term Miss Fasiha Faizi (Prep R) who is replacing Mrs Radley whilst she is on Long Service Leave, Mr James Miller as part of the DET Tutor initiative working in the primary school, and Mrs Anna Pavlou in the Accounts Department. We also welcome back Ms Sherry Perryman and Mrs Angela Callard from Long Service Leave.
The Annual General Meeting for the Parents & Friends Association will be held on Monday 29 November at 7pm. If you would like to join the Parents & Friends Committee or nominate yourself for a position as listed, please email admin@aitkencollege.edu.au
