Happy Retirement ' 2022'
Mrs Bell touched our hearts and changed our lives
Everyone has a favourite teacher from their Primary years and often it is their Foundation teacher. I’m sure Mrs Bell is that to many of our students and will be irreplaceable.
Mrs Bell is known throughout the community for her caring, friendly and positive demeanor, and her unwavering commitment to all children.
Any time you enter Mrs Bell’s classroom you are welcomed with a smile and instantly made to feel part of the class.
Over the years Mrs Bell has epitomized the stereotypical image of a Foundation teacher. She is not one to shy away from a dress up, singing songs, offering a motherly word of advice and a cuddle,
or participating in the staff item for concerts and production.
As a member of staff Mrs Bell is extremely well regarded for her knowledge, commitment and ability to be a team player, and lead with integrity. She is a friend to all on staff, and we will miss her positivity and kindness.
I know many parents will be disappointed that younger siblings will not be able to continue the tradition of starting their Foundation year with Mrs Bell, but I’m sure like the staff at GRPS you wish her well in her retirement.
Well it’s not easy calling it a day on something that you still love doing. Teaching has brought me so much joy over the years.
There is nothing better than inspiring young learners to have a go, take on a challenge and see their proud faces when they achieve. Being a teacher has given me licence to sing, dance, dress up and be a little crazy at times, all for promotion of learning.
I have had the privilege of working in partnership with so, so many wonderful families over the years.
I admired their babies in prams, watched toddlers grow and then what seems like five minutes later, they have turned up in my classroom. Time has gone fast, memories are sweet and I loved every minute of it.
I will always call Great Ryrie home xx
