P&F News

From the P&F President

The final term of 2021 has appeared with a rush at GSG. On behalf of all the P&F team, welcome back the last stanza of the year. Please accept our apologies for the lack of coffee van on Tuesday, the van suffered unexpected mechanical issues once it was onsite which couldn’t be repaired. We are looking to provide a mid-term coffee van instead.

Thanks again to all the wonderful people who made the major P&F events of the year such a success last term.

We were blessed with more than acceptable weather for the Kingfisher Fair and all in attendance enjoyed the day.

Our inaugural Great Southern Gathering followed soon after and we hope this is the beginning of another great event on our calendar in the years to come.

Finally, to all of our students nearing the end of their GSG journey - we hope you will savour this precious time with your friends and classmates before forging forward into your life after secondary school.

Mr Jim Darmody | P&F President

DIGS Fishing

On Sunday 3 October the Grammar dads and their kids rolled out of bed on a very windy but sunny morning to attend the annual Dads in the Great Southern (DIGS) fishing event at Emu Point Jetty. Several species of fish were caught including a very rare species – a chocolate fish!

It was a lovely morning of fishing, meeting new people and reconnecting. Thank you to everyone who attended, we hope to see you again next year!
