Grammar grown - Sauvignon Blanc

The School has produced this year’s wine Grammar grown, Kanup-Parill.  Kanup-Parill is a Sauvignon Blanc tropically flavoured with notes of lifted lychee, pineapple and passionfruit.  Its flavours of sugar snap peas and Australian native lime combine to give it a very balanced and clean finish.  Nurtured by the students and handpicked by the community, the grapes are grown by the shores of Oyster Harbour on the farm at the School.  Located between two ancient rivers and the harbour, few vineyards can boast such a magnificent position. The artwork for the label was created as part of a Year Eight art project and is a lino print, inspired by watercolour paintings by natural historian, Robert Neill, who was stationed in Albany in the 1840s. The traditional name for this fish was Kanup-Parill, also known as Green Fish, caught by the Menang people over thousands of years from the harbour’s rocky shores.

The School has obtained a licence to sell this wine on Friday 22 October. You may purchase one bottle at $20, 6 bottles at $100 and 12 bottles at $180.  Orders must be placed no later than Thursday 21 October and will be processed on Friday 22 October.  The wine will be available for collection at Reception after school hours from Monday 25 October until Friday 29 October inclusive.  If you would like the opportunity to purchase this fine wine, please complete the order form found HERE and email to reception@gsg.wa.edu.au by Thursday 21 October.
