GAMILAROI TOWN BANNER WORKSHOP

Last term our Yr 5/6 students were invited to attend the Gamilaroi Town Banner Workshop that was organised by the Narrabri Shire Council. An important aspect of this project was the journey between elders and youth, Indigenous and non-Indigenous, to inspire young people to design individual banners relevant to their village / town to hang to celebrate Reconciliation and NAIDOC week events.  Zest Events who specialise in large scale art projects, assisted the students at the art workshop where they designed the banners and school flags.

On Wednesday 2 June, Mrs Rees represented Sacred Heart School at the unveiling of the banners and flags. If you would like to see what the students designed, the flag is in the foyer of the admin block. 

SEMESTER 1 REPORTS

Your child's report will be made available to you via the Compass Portal this Friday at 12.00pm. Parents will no longer receive a paper copy of their child's report, unless requested. The Compass Portal is the platform for parents to access all information regarding their child's profile at school.

If you have not already downloaded the Compass App, please download it from the App/Android store and email or call the school for your personal username and password.

TERM 3 PUPIL FREE DAY 

Early reminder:  there will be a Pupil Free Day in Term 3 on Monday 30 August.  Staff will be undertaking professional development off-site.
