Captains' Corner

Tiana Amoretti and Kent Mijares - Faith and Mission Captains

A warm welcome back to the middle year and junior year students.  It’s nice to see the halls bustling with students again.  I’d just like to thank all the people who already made a contribution to MAD Day and to those who haven’t made their contribution, I’d encourage you to raise as much money as you can. The money raised for this day helps so many hundred of people such as the students at our sister school in Pakistan and also the women in Well Springs for women.  Once again I’d like to thank everyone who has already donated and I can’t wait to see everyone at the walk!

As Kent mentioned, with MAD Day fast approaching we want to remind everyone to continue with fundraising, as any contribution helps to make a difference.  However, with MAD Day being next week that also means that we are on the brink of Term 2 holidays.  For many of us this term has been packed with SACs, tests and exams which can be quite draining and stressful.  So during these holidays, I want to encourage everyone to really take the time out to focus on yourself, do things you enjoy and just be present as it is often easy for us to get caught up in the rush of school.  For we Year 12s, we’re almost there so keep pushing through!  While these holidays are for self-directed studying, don't forget to also make the most of each moment.  I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable break.
