Levels 3 & 4

Level 3 Update

On Friday 21 May, Level 3 had our excursion at the Monash Civic Centre and The Glen Shopping Centre as part of our inquiry into local government. We began altogether discussing the many roles and responsibilities of the Monash Council. We then divided into groups where we rotated on a tour of the Civic Centre, were shown the services of the library, participated in a Community Strengthening survey and relaxed with a Yoga session. Finally, we were treated to a lunch at Betty’s Burgers at The Glen where the children were responsible for ordering their own meal and exchanging money. It was a great learning experience and everyone had fun!

Level 4 Update

On Tuesday 11 May Level 4 went to Scienceworks and the Planetarium to supplement our learning about ‘Earth in Space’. We watched a fascinating film called tilt that explains how seasons work. Then we went to Scienceworks. We went into this interesting whirling room and it felt like the ground was spinning, we also saw a really cool skeleton riding a bike above our heads! All of us in Level 4 had a blast at scienceworks and the planetarium that was by far one of the best excursions Jells Park has ever experienced.
