ART NEWS

Our senior students have been busy exploring the artwork of famous artist, Vincent van Gogh. Their main focus has been creating their own versions of his highly celebrated, “Sunflowers” series. Students have continued to develop their sketching and editing skills, whilst exploring how lines can be shaped differently to achieve a variety of petal styles. Next week, students will complete the drafting process and add colours to create an authentic finished piece. It has been incredibly rewarding to see students focus so intently on creating their artwork.

Our junior students have been exploring folding and colour relationships. Students used their fine motor skills to build bodies for dragons, which they filled with colours from various colour families.

As always, I am incredibly proud of the artwork that our talented students are producing.
