Class of 2017: Pathways and subject success

Further updates on 2017 tertiary offers
In the last edition of the newsletter, we brought you some early news of the pathways of our 2017 Year 12 cohort. With the release of second-round offers last week, still more students received access to their course of first choice, or to a wide range of courses that they can now decide between.
Some statistics:
- 95% of applicants have received a tertiary study offer to date
- 85% of offers are for Bachelor or Associate degrees; the other 15% are for VET or TAFE certificates, diplomas and advanced diplomas
- The top 7 destinations for 2017 Northcote students are (in order):
- RMIT
- Latrobe University
- The University of Melbourne
- Monash University
- Swinburne Institute of Technology
- Australian Catholic University
- Deakin University

Subject results
Along with the pleasing 2017 ATAR results, we have plenty to celebrate with Northcote students' achievements across a range of subjects. The concentrated effort of our students, along with the dedication, expertise and collegial work of faculty staff, was evident in the large number of impressive outcomes in diverse learning areas.

Students achieved study scores of 40+ in these subjects, putting them in the top 9% in the state.

Of further note, students achieved study scores of over 45 in these subjects, which places them in the top 2% in Victoria - an incredible achievement.
