Year 7 Product Design
This week students from Year 7 Product Design were asked to think about and share their ideas on what DESIGN means to them. The key words that emerged from conversations about their concepts of design included building, inventing, being creative, creating something unique and crucially, solving problems. The students used all these great ideas in their first activity which involved working in small teams to design a model chair. The students were restricted to using paddle-pop sticks, blue tac and pipe cleaners. Final designs were presented to the class and we reflected on what went well with their design, and what they would improve on in the future.
