GROWING TOGETHER

SOME BALBOA MAGIC AS OUR PET PIGS GET READY TO POP

It’s a miracle! Our world-famous finch, the toughest finch in the world, ‘he is the greatest’ .....AKA Rocky Balboa has done it. He’s self isolated through a global pandemic and survived a mystery rat infestation that took out nearly all those who flew around him. He’s hooked up with the love of his life and the only female finch in the pen (you guessed it her name’s Adrienne). The happy couple have three eggs waiting to pop in the next two weeks. Stay tuned. Check out the picture. Can you find the eggs?

In more exciting animal news our pregnant guinea pigs have been moved into the maternity ward ... well cubby house out back 🤪 . Our midwifery unit (much-loved angels and gurus) have cleaned and decorated the area to make our producing pigs as comfortable as possible. They are due to be born any day now. We have a team on daily duty - they’re some very lucky guinea pigs.

Many thanks to all those who helped at the working bee last Saturday. There was a steady stream of people from 9 am-1.30 pm. We managed to sand and repaint a playground (it’s now OHS compliant), move six cubic meters of scoria, three cubic meters of crushed rock, disassembled a cubby house, relocated it, and put it back together (thanks boys we couldn’t have done this without you). Our school community is incredibly grateful.

Riding on the coattails of the working bee the garden team dutifully ordered another two cubic meters of river pebbles and four cubic meters of scoria. It will be moved by week's end. Many thanks to Xen, Sol, Jagger, Marcus, Zollie, Heath, and all those that helped at playtimes. I’d be lost without you boys 😊 .

May you be well and happy 🌻 🙏 ❤
