Textiles in Remote Learning

Year 7 and 8 Textiles
Our students in year 7 and 8 transitioned spectacularly into Remote Learning and produced some amazing garments as part of our Repurposing Old Clothes topic.
Students were looking at reducing the amount of Textiles waste they produce and the impacts of Fast Fashion on the environment.
Our students really thrived during this time designing some amazing items.
See some photos below of the impressive work from our Year 7 and 8 textiles students.
Dean turned an old tea-towel into a Draw String Bag.
Tammy turned her old jumpsuit into a short and top combo
Other students created Scrunchies, Facemasks, pillows and much more. If you have a student in this year level make sure you ask them how they went with the task.
There will be some photos on Display in the main office during next term.
