Semester Two Reports

Due to be published on Friday 16th July, 3pm

As we continue to navigate our way through the challenges of Covid 19, we are proud of the resilience that staff, students, and families have shown. As a community, we are certainly learning to be flexible and adapt quickly to new ways of doing things. Last week, the storm we suffered on Wednesday night contributed to the challenges that many teachers and students were already facing in the lead up to end of semester assessments. As you can imagine, extending online learning by another two days has made finalising these assessments even more tricky and as a result, we have decided to extend the deadline for assessments and give staff and students extra time.

Our new date for publication of reports will be the first Friday of Term 3

We thank you for your patience and understanding during these challenging times.

Curriculum Information Night

SAVE THE DATE – Tuesday 20th July

A significant event on our school calendar is Curriculum Information Night. It’s a great night for our students and parents to meet our teachers and discuss the rich and diverse curriculum we offer at Wantirna College. As a big school, we offer a range of subjects, particularly at year 9 to 12 and it’s important that students and parents are well informed about what the subjects are and the variety of pathways available. In the past year, our curriculum has changed significantly as we strive to give students more choice and agency in designing their learning program. We encourage our families to visit our learning spaces and speak directly to teachers who are teaching the subjects and who will offer guidance in supporting students to make informed choices in the upcoming subject selection process.

This year, we look forward to hosting this event onsite and connecting with our school community face to face!!
