A culture of performance
We continue to nurture a culture of performance at the College and the next season of performances is upon us! Studio teachers, ensemble directors and many students are practising and preparing for a week of concerts in Week 8. Music Academy peripatetic staff will present students from their instrumental studios in a series of lunchtime concerts. The Year 3/4 String Group will present their learning for Term 2 “Pizzicato” concert for parents. The String Sinfonia and Senior Strings will also present a performance at the 3/4 Strings concert, enabling our younger stringers and their families to see and hear how a musical journey on a string instrument can sound. We are hoping to have the College Band perform for our Year 5/6 Band Program and our Stage Band is readying for our next College performance featuring our IB Music students.

Principal’s Assembly and Junior School Assembly Performances
We try to always to feature a musical item at our Principal’s Assembly and Junior School Assembly. In Week 3, Bethany Bacon shared her wonderful piano playing skills at Principal’s Assembly. So far this term, our Junior School Assembly performers have included Charlotte Wickson, Liam Whiting, Heidi Sarantakos, Roni Kadmon-Jones, Thane Whitwell, with Bianca Ulett featuring as our Anthem leader. I encourage students in Years 10 - 12 elective classes to share their talents at Principal’s Assembly and Encore students and Year 9 elective music students to share their talents at Junior School Assembly.
