Miraculous Events and Facts About the Bermuda Triangle

By Avneet Arora

The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the ‘Devil’s Triangle’ is loosely located in the Western part of the North Atlantic Ocean and is famously known for the disappearing ships and planes. But is it true? Is this all just a lie? No, it is not but have you ever wondered why these ships and planes disappear under mysterious circumstances? Just read to find out!

The Bermuda triangle is responsible for over 8,000 dead bodies, 50 ships and 20 aeroplanes. These planes, ships and bodies have vanished without a trace of them left. Many myths have been said for centuries that many pilots and sailors tend to lose connection while flying above or sailing near the Bermuda Triangle. However, that isn’t the only myth or legend about the Bermuda Triangle, there are many more.

The climate near the Bermuda Triangle is very mild. The very mild climate is due to the influence of the Gulf Stream. It is not a tropical paradise either, especially in winter! Annual rain is quite abundant, it is around 1,400 millimetres (55 inches). In the Bermuda Triangle the rain is evenly distributed throughout all seasons, meaning it does not just rain like crazy in winter and not in summer. The least rainy months for the Bermuda Triangle are – April and May while the rainiest month is October.

It isn’t always that everyone who goes near or above the Bermuda Triangle tends to lose their lives. There have been a couple of survivors,  one of them is Bruce Gernon – He did an interview about his haunting experience with the Bermuda Triangle.

Another miraculous event connected to the Bermuda Triangle was when one of the Bermuda Triangle's greatest mysteries was solved! Its most famous lost ship was finally found. The ship was called ‘SS Cotopaxi. The ship headed to Havana and left port in Charleston. Yet, the ship never arrived in Havana. The last messages sent by the ship were wireless distress signals according to the New York Post. After their distress signals were heard, the SS Cotopaxi and its thirty two crewmen just vanished!  But 100 years later the ship was discovered off the coast of Florida.  Read more about it's disappearance and discovery here.

So we can conclude that the Bermuda Triangle isn’t only a haunting and scary place, but also a very interesting and curious place to investigate. (I don’t mean literally investigate, I mean on the Internet 😉). Hope you enjoyed reading this article! Look out for next week’s article about the ‘COVID 19 vaccination!’
