Farewell Year 12s

On Friday 16 October we said farewell to our Year 12 students. Although this year of Covid-19 prevented the traditional Valedictory Dinner in the Kevin Borland Hall, they nonetheless had a joyful last day together at the BK campus.
They were excited to see the stage curtain (created in 2015 by those who attended Arlington) suspended under the roof of the basketball court and enjoyed opening the letters they wrote to themselves whilst in Year 6. Following heartfelt and emotional speeches by the staff, students received their Chupa Chup award and gift bag and watched the farewell video. They spread out around the grounds for lunch and afterwards came together to paint the Year 12 wall. The day ended with music, dancing and laughter under the new basketball roof.
Some of our graduates have been at Preshil since 3 year old Kindergarten (2007), some commenced their secondary education here in Year 7 (2016) and others joined us in more recent years. We salute them all.
We wish them all the best for their IB exams which take place between 27 October and 12 November.
Preshil has watched them grow and prepared them well for the next step on their journey - be it tertiary study, travel or the workforce. The School's motto is courage. Our 2020 graduates have truly shown they are resilient and we hope they have the courage of their convictions to live the life they have dreamed.
