Year 7 English

Year 7 have been developing their creative writing skills all year. Once a fortnight they work on a task called the 25-minute Writing Challenge, where they are given an image, a few writing rules to follow and some time to brainstorm before spending 25 minutes writing a narrative that they have come up with, using the image as their inspiration. This week, 7 Jade had two different images of a forest; one was a sunny, green, luscious forest and the second was a dark, foggy and spooky forest. They were allowed to choose which forest would be the setting for their story and came up with some very interesting stories! Some of these stories included beautiful, dancing fairies and creepy, evil clowns. They are currently working on a 25-minute Writing Challenge story, using lots of language techniques, to be submitted for assessment.
