Primary Sports Day 2020

With the postponement from earlier in the year due to Covid, it was great to finally have the opportunity to run our Primary Sports day in Term 4. We had perfect weather and everything ran smoothly allowing all to make the most of the day and do their best.

From the Health Hustle at the start of the day right through to the relays at the end of the day students ran jumped threw and cheered their teams on.

Congratulations to Angas taking out the Cup.

Congratulations to our individual winners on the day and everyone who participated.

Thank you to everyone who came and supported the day. Thank you to the Year 9 students who helped make the various events throughout the day run smoothly. Thank you to Mr Max Jenkins and Alex Twartz for scoring and Mr Jones who worked the microphone tirelessly on the day.

We look forward to seeing you again in Term 1 2021 for another great day of athletic fun and games.

Remembrance Day

The Year 1/2 and Year 2 classes visited the Strathalbyn War Memorial following the School’s Remembrance Day service.  Students completed various activities as part of their class learning, and listened to their teachers speak about the tremendous sacrifice and courage of Australian soldiers, in particular Strathalbyn families.

Here are some of what the students had to say about Remembrance Day:

“Remembrance Day is special to me because you remember the people that fought for this land” - Bonnie.

“Remembrance Day is special to me because we remember the people who died just for us” - Hannah
