Grade 2 - SPORTS DAY 2020

Grade 2 were lucky to enjoy glorious sunshine and perfect Spring weather for their Sports Day on Tuesday. Everyone arrived ready to go and full of excitement for the fun and friendly competition.

Children were put in mixed-class groups so that they could spend time with different members of their cohort, in preparation for their transition to grade 3 next year.

Grade 5 demonstrated their terrific leadership skills by stepping up to the challenge of explaining techniques and recording scores for each of the 8 events. They were truly outstanding and at times it was hard to believe they were only 10 or 11 years

There wasn't a moment that the teachers didn't feel proud. The energy, the engagement, the wonderful behaviour and the skill level. All-in-all a true demonstration of the incredibly high standard of achievement that we all come to expect, but very much appreciate at IPS.

Well done to the staff, the in-service teachers, the Grade 5 leaders and all the participants.

To see more action shots taken on the day please go to the 'Teams - Health and Physical Education tile - open files - Grade 2 Sports day folder.'

Foundation will be enjoying their sports day on Thursday this week and grade 1 will at last be able to compete on Monday the 30th after it was postponed due to inclement weather earlier this week.
