Thank you to the families who have responded to the survey.

Please put 20 minutes aside to complete the survey.

We value your opinion and look forward to hearing from you.

What is the Parent Opinion Survey?

The Parent Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education and Training. It is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of parents’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, student engagement and experiences of remote and flexible learning. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies. All parents have been invited to participate in this year’s survey. All responses to the survey are anonymous. This year, the Parent Opinion Survey will be conducted from Friday 16th October to Friday 13th November.

The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the fieldwork period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones. The online survey will be available in a range of languages other than English. These include: Arabic, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Chin (Hakha), Hindi, Japanese, Somali, Turkish, Punjabi and Greek.

The survey results are communicated to parents through annual report.

Please call the school office if you would like more information.

Footy Day and Book Week Dress Up

Now that the students are back at school we are endeavouring to return to the routines and events that are much loved by our students and are part of the Beaumaris PS tradition.

Thank you to Miss Geake for organising Footy Day on Tuesday. The students looked fantastic. It was great to see some friendly rivalry between the Geelong and Richmond supporters.

Thank you to Miss Lacey for organising the Book Week Dress Up Day today. The students clearly thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to dress up as their favourite book character.

Regular reading not only influences a child's overall success at school but also opens the door to wonderful worlds of fact and fiction that provide hours of enjoyment and stimulate life long learning.

Workforce planning for 2021

Please advise the office if your child/children will not be returning next year

As in all school communities, some families relocate at the end of the year. Please advise the office if you will not be returning to BPS in 2021 to inform our workforce planning for the year ahead.

Quote of the Week: Reading

A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies . . . The man who never reads lives only one.” – George R.R. Martin

Gratitude and Mindfulness

What are three things that went well for you today?

What are the best things that happened to you today?

Who are you most grateful for and why?

What are you looking forward to most about tomorrow?
