Ballarat High Formal Online Assessment

Throughout your child’s schooling journey their progress and learning achievements are continually identified through Common Assessment Tasks, teacher judgements and testing. Students also complete external tests such as NAPLAN and VCE.

To support our teacher judgements, increase intervention programs and identify how your child is performing compared to their own learning growth Ballarat High School will continue the Formal Assessment Schedule for students in years 7-9. The testing schedule will be run very similar to Online NAPLAN and students will sit their tests in a formal setting.

Due to Covid-19 our second round of testing is occurring during term 4 week 7. Students will complete three different tests Reading, e-Write, and Maths between periods 1-3 for the year level testing day.

The testing schedule is shown below:

Monday 16th November – Year 8 testing

All students are expected to bring a fully charged, approved device (i.e laptop, iPad etc) to school for their testing days.

If for any unapproved reason your child does not bring a device to school, alternative arrangements will be made at a later date.
