Year 3 

Our Amazing Year 3 Students

This week the Year 3 students completed their Sharing the Planet inquiry unit, which focussed on endangered species and the reasons for their endangerment. During the remote learning period students chose two different endangered species to research. This understanding helped to inform the students when planning, writing and illustrating a factual narrative story about one of these animals.  

The students had a responsibility for getting the message out into the school community. They learned how to navigate Flipgrid, an online platform, where they uploaded a digital copy of their action piece and narrated it to share with the school.  

Junior students used iPads to scan a story’s QR code and enjoyed having the story read to them by its author. 

We are so proud of our students for their enthusiasm in adapting to a new way of communicating and sharing their knowledge.
