Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and the wider community,

Last Sunday some of our Year 6 students received their Sacrament of Confirmation. Our Southern Region Bishop, Fr Tony Ireland lead the Mass assisted by Fr Martin Jeramias. It was a proud moment for many of our staff as we joined our students, families and the wider parish community. Congratulations to Nicholas B, Jasmine C, Layla C, Patrick M, Polly M, Griffin O, Kingston P and Thomas W and their families. God bless them all.

Today we have had a Coloured Clothes Day as we start to really get into the preparations for our Market Day on Sunday 13th November. We have a team of parents working to make this day a big success. It serves as a great day of gathering for our school and wider community, a terrific opportunity to promote ourselves as a great schooling option and also raises some funds which will be directed to off-set the cost of the artificial turf laid earlier this year near the front entrance to the school. Please keep your eyes out for opportunities to support the day whether before the day or on the day.

Next Monday is a School Closure Day used by staff as an opportunity to gather their assessment data and begin preparing our end of year reports. Experience tells me that many families also enjoy the 4 day break including Melbourne Cup Day to get away for a family break or just take a mid-term break before we rush towards the Christmas season. If you are travelling or staying home please take the opportunity to recharge your batteries and find some time to create some special family memories.

Next Friday 4th November some of our Year 6 students will be representing the school in a Hoop Time Basketball competition. Mrs Ary will provide further information to those who have been selected to attend in the future.

God bless

Rod Shaw

Principal
