Spotlight on Numeracy 

Each fortnight a different grade will be in the SPOTLIGHT sharing Numeracy inside the classrooms! 

Welcome to Numeracy in Year 2!

Year 2 students are shape experts!!! We have been learning about 2D shapes in our mathematics lessons. We have been exploring quadrilaterals and other 2D shapes including pentagons, hexagons and octagons. We have learned what each shape looks like after you slide, flip and turn them. We have loved using 2D shape manipulatives to explore these concepts. Check out some of our work in the photos below!
