Uniform orders are filled on Tuesdays.

Completed order forms need to be at the school office by Friday for orders to be filled and delivered to your child by Tuesday.

MONEY MONEY MONEY

The Grade 2s are having fun experimenting with money, learning about the different notes and coins, ordering money and solving money problems. We are enjoying role playing real life scenarios and setting challenges to solve. It is great to hear so many of the students have money boxes and have started saving their cash for future use!

The Japanese Word of the Fortnight

あったかいです(pronounced ‘attakaides’) which means ‘warm’ is the Japanese Word for Week 1 and 2 of Term 4. You can use ‘あったかいです’ (‘attakaides’) when you are feeling nice and warm and when you touch something warm. Please be carefulあったかいです ‘attakaides’ does NOT mean ‘hot’.

Hi, I’m An and I’m in Team Green

Today I’m going to talk about Landcare Australia.

Landcare Australia is a non-for profit organization that aims to protect and restore the natural environment. Landcare activities include: tree planting, wildlife monitoring and community clean up days.

One of the great things about Landcare is that it starts at a local level: in your own backyard, park, neighbourhood and school, and the whole family can get involved. The projects are a lot of fun. You can sign up for the e-newsletter. The link is at the bottom of the page. That way you can find out about projects in the local area that you might be interested in, as well as what’s going on across the country.

You can read about schools that have created worm farms, bush tucker gardens, water wise native gardens to attract birds and much more. Landcare Australia is doing such great and important things, and I recommend you to join.
