Principal's Message
What were we like back in February 2017? For an element within our community they were a group of young fresh faced individuals embarking on the next stage of their schooling journey as the new Year 7’s at Marian College. And now it is October 2022 and these individuals have formed a strong collective based on relationships that supported their continual growth and fulfilment of aspirations. It seems to have gone pretty quickly. Well at least for me.
With a beginning an end soon arrives. I wonder how strange this time seems for these students because with an end there is a new beginning, daily routines change, excitement of new experiences and perhaps some sadness as to what is left behind. There is an implication that new beginnings come with a little discomfort and anxiety. Some may say that is challenging but necessary as a growth stage in life. We know that life does not remain the same and with the disruption of the routine of the last 13 years these Year 12’s have to be prepared for change.
I believe that the Year 12’s of 2022 can certainly face the future with much hope and confidence. Their experiences will no doubt provide them the courage to persevere through difficult times and the resilience to find a positive outcome in all situations.
I extend my best wishes to all the VCE students who are sitting their end of year examinations. I also congratulate the VCE Unscored students and our VCAL students for completing the respective courses of study. It is important to celebrate their achievements and give recognition to all their efforts. Congratulations to all of the Year 12 Class of 2022.
