Book Parade & Assembly

Thank you to all who organised and/or made costumes for our book parade and attended our assembly last week. It was great to have visitors back in the school for a gathering.

Public Holiday Thursday

The prime minister, Anthony Albanese, made the announcement that a “one-off public holiday” would be held on Thursday 22 September as a national day of mourning, after the Queen's funeral on 19 September. Please note that our school will not be operational on this day for staff and students.

Hats

Hats will be sent home at the end of the week to be washed ready for next term. Anne has plenty of brand new hats in the office for $10 if anyone needs to purchase a new one ready for next term.

Red Nose Day Fundraiser

Last Monday at our assembly we intended on selling merchandise and collecting gold coin donations for Red Nose Day.... but we forgot! We still have pens for $5 and red noses for $3 in the office for sale that can be purchased at any time. Sorry about that.

Thunderbolt's Festival

On Saturday the 29th of October, Uralla will be holding the annual Thunderbolt Festival. The theme for 2022 is Super Heroes and Princesses. Students can dress up for the parade and walk with us as a school on this day meeting in Park St from 10:00 am ready for the march at 10:30 am.

Brad Away

As mentioned in the previous newsletter, Brad is away on leave this week so please contact myself if you need anything.

No Shared Space

Unfortunately due to the current situation with our school buildings we cannot offer our school playground as a Shared Space during the coming holidays.

Thank You P&C

Thank you to the P&C members involved in organising the weekly lunch specials this term. They were a huge hit with the kids and staff and we really appreciated how you adapted due to a lack of space this term for us. Thank you! Next term canteen will return to our usual style. Please refer to the P&C section of the newsletter for more information.

Happy Holidays!

Well done to all students on another successful and busy term! We are so lucky to be back in our own school in the beautiful new space. I wish everyone a happy and safe holiday.

There is no Staff Development Day next term. Students and staff return on Monday the 10th of October.
