Melton Career Expo

Students in Year 10  have attended the Melton Career Expo on 28th April at West Waters Convention Centre in Caroline Springs. Students were given the opportunity to speak to TAFE/University representatives, providers of School Based Apprenticeships and employers to assist in planning for their future pathways.

Year 10 Work Experience

Students in Year 10 have also completed a successful work experience program. Visiting teachers received excellent comments from employers relating to the student’s participation in all areas of work.

Esther of 10G was able to secure work experience at Metro Docklands with the assistance of her family. She worked in the IT Department and was supervised to complete many tasks relating to Office Administration These included: data entry into Excel spreadsheets, editing and proof reading documents, filing and answering the phone. Esther is now considering a pathway that includes future studies in ICT.

Year 9 students have the opportunity to visit the Trade Training Centres across four Secondary schools on Friday, 20th May to assist in the selection of a suitable VETis program for 2017.
