Athlete Development Program
The group is looking at working hard over the winter months building up core strength. There will be some new students invited into the program over the next couple of weeks. We were waiting to see how some students performed at the Athletics Carnival before making a decision; however the weather put an end to that idea.
Football Results
Senior Boys – Melton def Bacchus Marsh 11-9 to 0-2 but lost to Staughton 4-3 to 9-9.
Senior Girls – Melton def Kurunjang 9-5 to 1-0 and def Staughton 6-7 to 0-0 to go to the next level.
Volleyball results – Western Metropolitan Finals
Game 1 – def Rosehill 20-3, 20-14,
Game 2 – drew with Maribyrnong 20-13, 25-27
Game 3 – def Copperfield – 21-19, 2-12 to qualify for the Region final on countback
Region Final – def Braybrook 20-9, 20-16
Off to State final now on May 19 in Dandenong.
Squash results
The senior and intermediate girls squash teams have qualified directly to the State final. Unfortunately there were not enough entries for Squash Vic to run a junior girls competition (an event where we would have started as favourite to win).
Athletics
Unfortunately the Athletics Carnival was washed out. We made an early call to postpone as the forecast was very poor. It did rain more in Keilor than here on that day. It was nearly impossible to find an available venue in May to redo the carnival. We are still looking at what will happen and when about another carnival.

Old Sports Gear laying around taking up space?
If you have any sporting equipment/clothing etc that is no use to you anymore we could always use some e.g football boots, football jumpers (we wear St.Kilda and Melton South colours), cricket gear/clothing, black basketball shorts, soccer shin guards, balls, badminton/tennis racquets, team uniforms, , swimming gear, loose weights – we can use anything in Sport or Physical Education.
