Principal's Report

Wow! Today I travelled down to Phillip Island to spend the day with our 3 /4 campers. We joined the Ranger for an information talk and then enjoyed two activities; Rockpool Ramble and Feathers, Flippers and Fun. In the afternoon we travelled to the Nobbies, then back to camp for more engaging activities. A wonderful day had by all!

Aerobics News
There will be some changes to the Aerobics programme in 2020. Due to the fact that after many years of dedicating her time and unrelenting effort to coaching and achieving an abundance of success Michelle Dodson has decided to retire from coaching.
We have enlisted the help of Action Sport Aerobics Coaches to train the teams next year. Clare and Michelle will still be involved in co ordinating the programme.
As we are making changes, we have also changed Competitions. We will now be entering the FISAF (Federation of International Sport Aerobics and Fitness) competitions not Schoolaerobics. They have a State Competition on June 6th and 7th in Hampton Park and Nationals on August 6th – 9th in Brisbane.
Training sessions will be run before school and at lunchtimes and fees will still be payable through the school. The teams will still be representing Syndal South Primary School. There will be more information regarding the Aerobics Program early in 2020.
Please see Clare and Michelle if you have any questions.
Working Bee
Just a reminder that we are having our final ‘Working Bee’ on Sunday 15th December from 9.00am to 11.00am. This will give us the opportunity to give the grounds a good tidy up before the holidays and to clean out the storage shed. At the conclusion of the morning there will be the usual Sausage Sizzle provided. Look forward to catching up with you then.
Roadworks - Concreting
Concerting works will be undertaken near the school crossing on Montgomery Avenue tomorrow. Please be patient whilst these works are undertaken during school drop off in the morning.
Parent Helpers Morning Tea - Wednesday 18th 10.40am
The staff would like to thank all the parents that have volunteered in the school in 2019, so please join us for morning tea on Wednesday 18th December at 10.40am.
We have many wonderful parents that have attended excursions, camps and sporting days. Our banking ladies and parents in the class rooms, library volunteers and parents attending working bees have all been very generous with their time.
For some of you this will be a final goodbye to Syndal South. We could not hold all of these activities without your help.
