News from the PFA

Hello again from the PFA! We have had a busy start to the year and really enjoyed helping out at the recent, very successful, inaugural South East Feast!  We handed out flyers advertising it at Fountain Gate the week prior and were thrilled to hear that over 3000 people turned up on the day. It was such good exposure for the school, as well as a great family day out.

The PFA had 2 stalls at the Feast, selling delicious cupcakes and a beautiful gift stand. We also had a very successful Gold Coin Toss for Chocolate game, where many people were lucky enough to win themselves a big bar of chocolate.  The PFA also managed a Silent Auction which featured many and varied items. Many thanks to all the parents who donated chocolates and gifts to us for these stands.

Overall on the day, the PFA raised $2037.00 towards the total takings at the South East Feast. 

Mr Butler and Mr Page have some great ideas/items on their wish list for the school and at our most recent meeting we considered using some of the funds for much needed seating near the basketball court.  Other items are being considered and we will keep you informed of what we do as decisions are made.

We had the PFA AGM last week. All positions were filled and we thank those who held those positions for the last 12 months, especially our hard working outgoing President of 2016 and 2017, Nellie. Our newly elected President is Larry. He has been on the PFA for many years and is a huge help at all of our events. We wish him and all the new office bearers all the best for the coming year. 

Come and meet Larry and all our other very friendly PFA members at our next meeting, on Wednesday 6 June, at 7:00pm upstairs in the Jean Russell Centre, above the main office at the school.  You would be made most welcome
