.A reminder that the Athletics Carnival which was scheduled for tomorrow, has been cancelled and will be rescheduled to early Term 2.

St James students have been well represented at a number of sporting events not only in the our Holt District recently but also at Beachside Division events.

Yesterday Year 6 students, Eirene N and Isabel D competed at the Beachside Tennis Tournament after making it through from the Holt Tournament earlier in the year.  Results to follow.

Today Chris A  competed and  won the 2018 Beachside Division Tennis playoffs and will now progress to the South Metro Tennis Competition, taking place in Pakenham on Thursday 3rd May.

Well done to all three students on representing not only St James but also the Holt District so well.

Last Friday,  17 students competed at the Beachside Division Swimming Carnival.  Out of those 17,  8 students competed in individual events and relays. There were many notable performances amongst a very competitive crowd.  Once again, the St James community should be very proud of our swimmers.

Today 18 boys and 17 girls from Year 5 and 6 represented St James at the Holt Soccer Lightning Premiership. The students had to prove their place on the team by attending trials and being selected. This was an extremely difficult task given the depth of talent for Soccer in our school. I would like to thank  Andrea Swain (Foundation mum) for volunteering her time to assist with these teams.

The boys team qualified for the semi finals in third place and lost to the overall premiers for the day.  The girls team qualified in first position for the semis, then went on to win the Grand Final and will now proceed to the Beachside Division Premiership.  More information on that to follow.

Finally, don’t forget to keep collecting those vouchers from Coles!
