Cup Cake Competition

The cup cake competition was quite unique and when I mean unique, I mean competitive. There were many 

different types of styles of the cup cakes, competition from burger cup cakes to Panda cupcakes which all looked delicious.

In 7D, our Cup Cake Competition winner has Holly Bromage, who made these delicious pig cup cakes.

Cup Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

24 paper patty cases

125g softened butter

1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

1 1/2 of  cups of SR flour

1/2 cup of milk

3/4 castor sugar

2eggs

 

Method:

1, Pre heat the oven to 100c

2, line the patty pan trays with paper cases

3, Cream the butter & sugar until light and fluffy

4, Beat one egg at a time and add the vanilla essence

5, Continue beating while mixing flour and milk alternating- add approx 1/3 at a time

6, Drop slightly rounded tablespoon of mixtures into patty cases

7, Cook in oven for 15-20 mins or until golden brown

8, Cool on a rack before taking out of the metal trays.

 

Makes 24

Cook for about 15-20 minutes until golden

 

Butter Icing:

Ingredients:

125g butter, softened

1 1/2 cups of icing sugar, sifted

30ml milk

Method:

Using beaters, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy,

Then add a little of the milk until required consistently.
