WA's Biggest Breakfast
On Thursday 16th September we will be having a special breakfast as part of WA's Biggest Brekky. Foodbank WA has been feeding hungry tummies across WA for 21 years with their school breakfast program, how impressive is that!! We are taking donations of all non-perishable items (please see the ad below) for the whole of the week beginning Monday 14th September. ++Please note that these donations are not for our MDHS Breakfast Club, they are for Foodbank WA to help feed people in need. Please drop these donations to the front office anytime during school hours.
Brilliant Brains
At Brilliant Brains this week we welcomed 3 new students, Cooper, Lachlan and Jaxsen. Dinosaurs was our theme for the morning so we hunted for dinosaur fossils in a Dino dig, we printed circles onto dinosaur shapes and practiced our fine motor skills picking up dinosaurs with tweezers and matching the colours to coloured Dino eggs. Play dough was popular again, rolling and then stamping Dino shapes. Our most exciting activity was melting fizzy eggs to discover a dinosaur hiding inside. Outside the students practiced their throwing and catching skills and had a go at participating in a flag race. I think this was the beginning of some Muka, Bennie and Beacon rivalry!!!
No winners, but we had some fun.
See you all next week for some more educational play. Mrs Seaby.
