Reflections on Faith

From the desk of the Religious Education Coordinator - Miss McMeniman

Week 7

We are faced with some challenging times at the moment; snap lock downs, remote learning and mask wearing all in relation to the current pandemic crisis in Australia, particularly New South Wales and Victoria. However, even faced with these challenges, we can unite (remotely of course) to provide our students with stability and a sense of security. We cannot determine what the future (let alone the next few weeks) holds for us. In these times, it's the simplicity of routine and prayer which can guide us. Below you will find a prayer for times of pandemic which you may find helpful in these uncertain times.

As Australia faces a pandemic, Afghanistan faces a much worse and devastating predicament which is heart wrenching and makes us feel very distressed when reading or viewing articles. It does put in perspective how fortunate we are in Australia. We pray for the citizens of Afghanistan. Being a Christian in Afghanistan at this time is distressing with appeals made to the Pope for assistance. As a community, we pray for the citizens of Afghanistan.
