College Captains' Report
It’s been a busy two weeks for Beaumaris Secondary College, and we have a busy two weeks ahead!
Over the last two weeks students have participated and excelled in a range of activities. It was production week from 1 – 6 August for students involved with our musical, School of Rock. As someone who was in the musical, it was an incredible experience working with students across the school, who displayed many talents throughout. Also, being able to perform at Kingston City Hall in front of an audience was a great opportunity.
Many of our GOAL and House Leaders have been busy organising our Athletics Carnival (17 August) which will include, all Aths events plus karaoke, popcorn, facepainting, slushies and a sausage sizzle!
There are many things to look forward to in Year 11 such as the upcoming VCE Expo which will help our senior students find a pathway they may be interested in pursuing. The Formal Committee has been working away to make 25 August a night to remember and all the Year 11s are looking forward to getting dressed up and attending the formal.
The Year 7 GOAL groups have been focusing on e-Safety which is an important part of our ever-changing and developing society.
Excitingly, Beaumaris Secondary College and students were mentioned in parliament by Sandringham parliament representative, Brad Rowswell, who spoke to the Minister for Transport about the ongoing 825 bus route issue, after meeting with the BSC student leadership who are working to resolve this issue.
I hope everyone has a great two weeks!
