BOOK WEEK and BOOK FAIR

We are thrilled to announce that our annual Book Parade is just around the corner, and this year's theme is "Read, Grow, Inspire." This exciting event will take place on Thursday, 10th August at 11:30 am in the school courtyard. It promises to be a celebration of books and the joy of reading. 

Students will have the opportunity to dress up as their favorite book characters and bring their beloved stories to life. We encourage students to get creative and put their imagination to work as they choose or make their costumes.

In addition to the Book Parade, we will be hosting a Book Fair in the school library. The Book Fair is not only a great opportunity to enhance your personal book collection but also a chance to support our school. A percentage of the proceeds from the Book Fair will go towards acquiring new books for our library. 

The Book Fair will be open before and after school from Monday 7th August to Monday 14th August and lunchtimes for students. 

LIBRARY BORROWING DAYS and OVERDUE BOOKS

Your child’s library borrowing days may have changed for this term. Please encourage your child to bring a library bag each week to borrow and to read regularly. All books need to be returned each fortnight and your child may occasionally receive an overdue notice. Please support the library by returning your books promptly or by replacing any damaged books. Please see me or write me a message on the slip if you have any questions or concerns.

Wednesday: 3MP, 3/4P

Thursday: KJ, 5/6BG 

Friday: KB, 1/2D, 4/5L, K-6 Koalas

STORY BOX LIBRARY

Our school has subscribed to Story Box Library giving staff, students and their families 24/7 access to online stories at school and at home. Kids of all ages can use the safe and trusted Story Box Library platform independently. BOOK CLUB

Your child received a Book Club catalogue this week. If you would like to place an order, you can register for LOOP and pay electronically by credit card. 

Please visit https://mybookclubs.scholastic.com.au/parent/login.aspx or download the LOOP app. Your order will be electronically linked to the school for free delivery to school. Please place your order by Thursday 3rd August. The office will not accept any cash payments.There are two catalogues issued per term and the due date will always be 2 weeks from the date of issue. The school earns 20% back in rewards for the school library.
