Parent-Teacher Interviews August 2023

Dates and times for this Semester’s Parent Teacher Interviews are listed below, all interviews are 5 minutes in duration and will be conducted via Google Meet. Your son should be present with you in the interview.

 

We conduct our Parent/Teacher/Student interviews in Term 3 as we believe that early contact with Parents is an essential element in successful study. The focus of these mid-unit interviews is on feedback and follow up regarding issues that may have arisen early in second Semester study, or in the mid-year reports. Teachers are readily available to have appointments with all their students.  

 

PTO system will go live to parents on Thursday 10th August at 5 pm. You will not be able to log in or make bookings prior to this time.

 

Date: Monday 21st August

Normal Monday timetable. Several staff are available for an additional interview session. 

PTO bookings for Monday close at 5 pm Sunday 20th August. 

 

One Session:

2.45 pm – 4.40 pm     

                   

Date: Tuesday 22nd August

All classes conclude at 12.35 pm on this day (Normal Periods 1-4 timetable).

PTO bookings for Tuesday close at 5 pm Monday 21st August.

 

Three Sessions:

1.45 pm – 3.40pm

4.10 pm – 6.05 pm

6.55 pm – 8.30 pm

                             

Date: Wednesday 23rd August

There are NO classes on this day.  

PTO bookings for Wednesday close at 5 pm Tuesday 22nd August.

 

Four Sessions:

11.30 am – 1.10 pm

1.45 pm – 3.40 pm

4.10 pm – 6.05 pm

6.55 pm – 8.30 pm

 

For these interviews, we use the internet-based booking system called Parent Teacher On-Line (PTO) which enhances our communication with families. Using this system you will be able to book the interview times that suit you best from any internet-connected computer. An email with your login details will be sent out shortly containing login details and instructions.

Please be mindful that bookings for the following day close at 5pm each night the previous day.  Administration staff at the college cannot change bookings for you after 5pm the day prior or on the day of your booking. You should instead, email the teacher concerned.

Semester 1 Student Reports

Semester 1 student reports are now available to view via MazCom.

 

To access, please login to your MazCom portal and visit the ‘Reports and Documents’ tab in your sons' MazCom profile page.

Traffic Management 

Over the past year the traffic in Kernot Ave has increased threefold. As a result, there are concerns for the safety of our students, your sons. In the past, we have asked parents to not use Kernot Ave during drop off and pick up times. Please, do not use Kernot Ave to pick up your son. Please do not park along the north side of Kernot Ave, the side where the uniform shop is situated. This clogs the traffic flow and makes it difficult for buses to enter and leave the College. 

 

There are many alternatives when it comes to picking up your son, they can walk over the bridge and be picked up on Brandon Park Drive, you can meet them in the Monash Community carpark, which can be accessed from Wellington Road and there are many side streets off Monash Drive where you can wait for your son. 

 

Please work with us in ensuring the safety of your son.

Lost Property

Parents are reminded to please label all uniforms and personal items. Due to limited storage space, unnamed items will now only be kept for 2 weeks before being donated to the second-hand uniform shop or discarded.

Administration Office Hours

The office is open from Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm.

 

A community liaison officer is available onsite to assist with any after-hours urgent matters.

Registering Absentees

Have you downloaded the MazCom app on your phone?

It's an easy and effective way to log absentee details via MazCom.

Click on the Absentee tile and enter the details making sure you select your son's name.

 

Changed your Address/Email/Phone Number?

To ensure effective communication to and from the College, it is important that all contact details are up to date. 

 

If you have recently changed your home address, email address, or contact phone number, could you please advise the College as soon as possible by emailing the details to frontdesk@mazenod.vic.edu.au
